How to commission your silhouette:

The Design Fee:

• Whether you are ordering online, or at an event we charge a one-off design fee of £15 to create a silhouette which can then be used on any of our products - as often as you like and even re-used on subsequent orders at no extra charge.

Online:

• Have a browse through the shop (see left)
• Choose your products and check out.
• At Check out you will be asked how many silhouettes you want created and the design fee of £15 per silhouette will be added to your bill.
• We'll send you instructions by email on how to take and send us a photo suitable for silhouettes ( fully foolproof we promise!) **. You can use a digital camera and send the images by email or download them to a disc/memory stick and post them to us.
• Send us a variety of images and we will choose the ones that works best. Bear in mind the best photo does not necessarily make the best silhouette!
• We’ll do the design work & send you a proof for approval.
• Once you give us the go-ahead, we make up your order.

** While taking and sending the photos is relatively easy a certain level of technical proficiency is needed.It's a bit like making a sponge cake - actually very simple - but there are plenty of reasons it can fail! We'll give you all the pointers you need - and are always happy to help with specific queries.  But bear in mind it's not something to be done in a rush - you will need to set aside a bit of time to get good results.

At Events:

• If you are holding a school, Christmas or chairty fair we can set up a stall and a mobile studio and take profile pictures suitable for silhouettes there and then.
• The customer chooses and pays for their products.
• A  few days later a link to a web-gallery of profiles will be sent out to the customer from which they choose the silhouettes to be used.

At Home:

•  If you would like a professional silhouette shoot at your own home please contact us for details. This can be advisable if you have a particular result you want achieved - e.g for a Christmas card - or it involves animals. 

Lead times:

• The sooner we receive your profile pictures the sooner we can start work on the conversions and design.
• Once we have received your profile pictures we will send you your initial silhouette proof for approval within 7 days.
• However, we recommend you allow 2 weeks for the proof approval stage - just in case there is any to-ing and fro-ing.
• Lead times vary - please see individual products for details.
• If you have a particular deadline we will do all we can to get it through in time. Just let us know.

Delivery:

• Items from your order will be dispatched individually as soon as they are ready for a single delivery charge. Certain products may attract an extra delivery charge if they are particularly bulky. We also reserve the right to charge extra for bulky products being sent abroad.
• They will be sent 1st Class recorded delivery as standard and a signature will be needed so please bear that in mind when giving us a delivery address
